RECRUITING CATECHISTS and FACILITATORS
In the twinkle of an eye it will soon be October, the month that
Faith Formation classes begin. The youth of our parish need dedicated
ADULTS to share faith with them. Is the Lord Jesus calling you
to this wonderful ministry this year?

THEFTS AT THE PARISH
During the 7:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, July 6, someone stole a wallet
and two check books from the purse of a parishioner. A word of
caution: Do not leave your belongings unattended, even while in
procession to receive Communion. Also on July 6, a car was broken
into in the parking lot and a wallet was stolen. About two months
ago, someone stole the trailer that belongs to the Parish-sponsored
Boy Scout Troop. It was parked at the back of the parking lot
near the storage units. There is evidence that the thief attached
the trailer to a vehicle with a trailer hitch and drove away.
If you have information about any of these incidents, please contact
Deacon Bernie at the Parish Office, 484-1070.
LITURGICAL SERVERS AT THE EARLY MASSES
We are appealing to those who attend the 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
Masses to consider serving as cross bearer, candle holders, and
altar servers. These Masses are often without servers. If you
are a youth in the 4th grade or above who has received first communion
or an adult who attends these Masses and would like to serve,
please call Fr. André, 484-1070.
ALTAR SERVERS MAKE-UP REVIEW
A new Altar Service Guide has been printed and must be complied
with by all those concerned. In order to review the ministry,
schedule functions, and hold a recommissioning of all members
there will be a gathering of all Altar Servers on Saturday, September
13, 9:30 a.m. in the Main Hall.
BAPTISM CLASS
The next preparation class for the baptism of infants and pre-school
age children will be held on Tuesday, August 26 at 7:00 p.m. in
the Chapel. To register for the class please call the Parish Office,
484-1070, to make an appointment with Pete Bennett.
INVITATION TO GROW
Once a month, usually on the first Sunday, a group intent on growing
spiritually, meets from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in Building B. The purpose
of the group is to: • Grow spiritually • Be advocates of nonviolence
• Learn the peace making ways of St. Francis, as well as his approach
to contemplative prayer • Reach out to others in need Many members
of the group have become associates of the Sisters of St. Francis.
This entitles them to join the Sisters for regional meetings twice
a year and to participate in the yearly retreat at the Mother
house in Clinton, Iowa. They share in the prayers said daily by
the older Sisters and are encouraged to join in the works of the
community: active nonviolence, support of women, and work for
the poor and marginalized. If you are interested in this group,
please call Sr. Celeste, 484-1070, for information.

or know of a business which would be willing to donate goods or
services for a fund-raiser. All contributions will be acknowledged
at the fund-raiser. Please contact Keri, 484-1070. For those who
